About Moordown
Moordown, situated to the north of Bournemouth, is said to be the longest continually settled area of the town. Evidence of its antiquity was unearthed in 1873 when 97 Middle Bronze Age cremation urns were exhumed in the Redbreast Road area. Modern day Moordown is a mix of established suburban housing and independent local shops.
